There’s a little hot dog chain around North Carolina that uses a similar mascot except he has an American flag. If you ever get up to SF, track down Doggie who sometimes appears in Zippy’s comic strip.

Hot dogs are all about the toppings. I miss the Chicago dogs with celery salt, hot peppers and a pickle spear. Let me know when you open the Winkin’ Weiner and I’ll be there.
I sure will, my vision is to have a 50 state chutney hot dog toppings bar with some extra from the chef’s table on surprise days or three in the morning if the jazz band comes to jam 🙂 stay safe and well xoxo
