Devastating imagery, and heartbreaking, especially these lines: “we’ve learned a lot about the battle/
whispering strategies into starving ears we crawl” — It made me think of the suffering in Gaza, in the Sudan, in the streets of our cities, the nightmare hellscape that life is for so many children in our world.
